Suitable for Landwind X5 4G63T Zotye T600 1.5 T engine assembly (front drive)

Model 4G63T (sometimes simply called 4G63) has powered the Mitsubishi Motors Lancer EX 2000 Turbo, Galant VR-4, Lancer Evolution, Carisma GT and Lancer WRC04 in the World Rally Championship (WRC) for many years. It was the power unit of the Lancer Evolution when Tommi Mäkinen drove the Lancer to four consecutive WRC championships. Both MHI and T-4 turbochargers are used to power these engines.

Description

4G63 engine

Bore × stroke is 85 mm × 88 mm (3.35 inches × 3.46 inches), produced in SOHC and DOHC. Both versions are available in naturally aspirated and turbocharged forms. For front-wheel drive applications, the name of the turbocharged Sirius was changed to “Cyclone Dash”. When installed in the fifth-generation Galant 200 PS (147 kW; 197 bhp) JIS total power, claimed output was later reduced to 170 PS (125 kW; 168 bhp) – for turbocharging and intercooling “Sirius Dash 3×2 valve” engine. Switching between breathers via two or three valves per cylinder combines high-end power with low-end drivability and enables economical operation. It is an improved version of Mitsubishi’s MCA-Jet technology, which uses an auxiliary intake valve to inject air into the engine for more effective emissions control. Available in turbocharged or naturally aspirated form.
