Description

The 4A91 engine is derived from Japan’s Mitsubishi engine technology, jointly developed by Shenyang Aerospace and Mitsubishi, and mass-produced in 2013 because of its strong power and economical fuel consumption among engines with the same displacement. It was awarded the title of “2014 Power Pioneer” in 2014, with a maximum torque of 215N.M and a power of 115kw. Southeast DX7 is this engine. The 4A91 engine is the latest generation of MIVEC variable valve timing system engine of Mitsubishi Motors. In order to quickly respond to the fast-growing Chinese auto industry’s small-displacement trend and increasingly stringent requirements for environmental protection, Aerospace Mitsubishi, as an important engine production base of Mitsubishi Motors, decided to introduce 4A9 engines in early 2007 with an eye on the future development of Mitsubishi Motors’ business in China. The 4A9 series engine developed by Mitsubishi in 2004 is currently produced by MDC-Power in Germany, and is widely used in Mercedes-Benz Smart, Mitsubishi Colt and the latest tenth-generation Lancer (check the transaction price|participation|preferential policy) and other models. As Mitsubishi’s 1.3L-1.6L-class basic engine, it has reached the top level in terms of small size, light weight, high performance, low fuel consumption, and environmental protection performance (meeting the Euro 4 standard, and also considering the correspondence of Euro 5). The 4A9 series engine uses an aluminum cylinder block, a large number of resin parts, and a series of simplified structures such as a hollow camshaft, etc., which are about 25kg lighter than previous engines. The MIVEC (Variable Valve Timing System for High Efficiency and Fuel Saving) technology used in 4A91 can not only optimize the valve opening time phase, but also change the valve opening stroke to increase the intake air volume. It can achieve low fuel consumption, low emission and high performance at the same time in a wide speed range.
