Except for the BYD Song car series, the engines used by BYD cars are mainly self-developed, and only the 2.4-displacement engine uses the Dongan Mitsubishi 4G69 model. At present, my country’s self-developed engines are relatively stable between 1.0 liter and 2.0 liters. Engines with a displacement of 2.4 liters and above are mainly imported or produced in Dong’an. BYD’s self-developed 1.5t displacement engine can have turbocharged direct injection, variable valve timing, and all-aluminum alloy engine technology. The newly developed 473QE1.5L engine was selected into the national energy-saving subsidy list.
