The 4G18 has a displacement of 1.6 liters (1,584 cc) and a bore and stroke of 76 mm × 87.3 mm (2.99 in × 3.44 in). It is a 4-valve per cylinder engine with an output of 98 PS (72 kW) to 110 PS (81 kW) and a torque of 150 N⋅m (111 lb⋅ft). It uses COP (coil on plug, also known as coil on spark plug) ignition, where one coil ignites both cylinders, with one cylinder ignited by a spark plug wire. The 4G18 engine has been produced since April 2010 at the Dongan Mitsubishi Motors Engine Manufacturing Plant in Harbin, China.
