The compression ratio is 18.5:1. The redline of this engine is 4400 RPM. This engine also uses D-4D Common Rail (Common Rail Direct Fuel Injection) technology. The only major change from 1KD-FTV to 2KD-FTV is the bore and stroke.

Description

The 2KD-FTV was 2.5 litres (2,494 cc) and was sold in the UK market Toyota HiAce from the 2002 model year, with an output of 66 kW (88 hp) at 3,800 rpm and 192 Nm (142 lb-ft; 20 kg-m) of torque at 1,200-3,000 rpm, or 76 kW (102 hp) at 3,600 rpm and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft; 27 kg-m) of torque at 1,600-2,400 rpm.

The engine displacement is based on the previous generation 2L engine, the bore remains the same at 92 mm (3.62 in), but the stroke has been increased to 93.8 mm (3.69 in), a 16-valve, DOHC engine with a turbocharger and intercooler.
