4G18 engine working principle:

Gasoline and air are injected into the cylinder through the intake hole and oil delivery hole, and are fully mixed in the cylinder. When the spark plug ignites the mixture, the mixture explodes and burns violently, pushing the piston down and generating power.

The huge pressure of the explosive gas also pushes open the air outlet of the one-way valve to discharge the exhaust gas. Then, the residual exhaust gas in the cylinder gradually becomes colder, the air pressure becomes lower, and the atmospheric pressure outside the cylinder pushes the piston upwards to prepare for the next explosion.

Compared with the hydraulic tappet type valve drive mechanism commonly used in gasoline engines, this novel valve drive mechanism has the advantage of relatively small friction torque, so the required driving force is also small, which can effectively reduce engine power consumption and fuel consumption.
