The G4FA is a 1.4 L (1,396 cc) engine. Bore and stroke are 77 mm x 75 mm (3.03 in x 2.95 in). It has MPI and produces 111 PS (82 kW; 109 hp) at 6,300 rpm and 14 kg m (137 N m; 101 lbf ft) of torque at 4,200 rpm. Power in the Hyundai i20 drops to 100 PS (74 kW; 99 hp) at 5,500 rpm and torque to 13.9 kg m (136 N m; 101 lbf ft) at 4,200 rpm. The engine features double overhead camshafts, 4 valves per cylinder, chain-driven camshafts, and continuously variable valve timing (CVVT) on the intake camshafts only. It was replaced by a 1.4 L Kappa (G4LC) engine.
